Quick to Heat, Quick to Laminate: A4 for the Small Office

The Fellowes Saturn A4 (5735401) is an entry level office laminator that Fellowes say is ready in 60 seconds and laminates an A4 pouch in as little as 45 seconds, with 80, 100 and 125 micron settings plus a cold setting.

Speed is what separates it from the home models. Fellowes' InstaHeat warm-up means a waiting queue at the laminator is short, and the rollers run at up to 50 cm a minute. The control panel has buttons for each pouch thickness and for cold laminating, the indicator light and a beep tell you when it is ready, and the machine defaults to the 80 micron hot setting when switched on.

It also looks after itself. The Clean Alert system lights up when the rollers need a clean, there is jam detection with a release lever at the rear, and the machine sleeps after 30 minutes without use. An exit tray catches finished pouches. Packed with the laminator are 10 starter pouches plus one cleaning sheet. Fellowes give it a 2-year warranty, and their Saturn product manual sits in the downloads here.

Yes. It has a cold setting. Fellowes say self-adhesive pouches should only be used on the cold setting.
Fellowes give 75 micron as the minimum and 125 micron as the maximum, with buttons for 80, 100 and 125 micron. It does not take 175 or 250 micron pouches.
It lights when the rollers need cleaning. Run a Fellowes cleaning sheet through the warm machine and the light resets; you can also reset it manually with the button.
