EcoXgear EcoXTalk 1-Watt IP54 Handheld UHF Radio 7km Twin Pack Black

EcoXgear lists 2 EXG100 radios, 2 belt clips, 6 AA NiMH rechargeable batteries, a twin charge dock, a USB Type-C charge dock cable and a USB AC adapter. The user guide lists a printed user guide in the pack as well.

EcoXgear's EXG100 page quotes a 7km talk range marked with an asterisk, and the page does not state the conditions behind that figure. The user guide explains that UHF CB repeaters extend range and overcome shielding from solid obstructions, and Duplex mode reaches repeaters on channels 1 to 8 and 41 to 48.

Yes. The EXG100 user guide states each radio takes 3 AA alkaline or 3 AA NiMH rechargeable batteries. The guide says to charge only NiMH cells and not to mix old, new, alkaline and NiMH batteries.

EcoXgear lists 17 hours of operation time, with a footnote marker whose conditions are not shown on the page. The user guide says to charge new NiMH batteries for 16 hours before first use and to recharge them every 3 months in storage.

EcoXgear rates it IP54 splashproof and dust protected, and the user guide states the radio resists water splashes with the battery cover and jack cover fully sealed. EcoXgear makes no waterproof claim and no submersible claim for the EXG100.

The EXG100 user guide gives 1 year without registration and an additional 2 years with registration, with accessories covered for 90 days. The guide names Enfinity Pty Limited as the warrantor.
