Pre-drilled cards that bring embroidery to young students
Zart Stitching Cards, supplier code CB271, are a pack of 10 pre-drilled white square cards, each a 324 hole cardboard canvas for stitched patterns, messages and images.
The Creative School Supply Company calls these cards a novel introduction to embroidery and textiles, suitable for young students. Large 3mm holes suit tapestry and chenille needles. Each card measures 16 x 16cm closed, and can be used open as a greeting card or glued closed to hide the back of the stitching.
A grid of pre-drilled holes means students can plan a design and stitch it without punching their own holes. The supplier describes the finished cards as a keepsake and a year-round activity, and the card can be used open as a greeting card, as the supplier suggests.
Thread a tapestry needle with yarn and start from the centre. Find needles and yarn in knitting and craft supplies, more card in craft cardboards, plus craft glues and the Zart range.
