Air drying potato clay that dries with porcelain-like qualities
Magiclay Porcelain Potato Clay 210g, supplier code ML270, is an air drying clay made from potato powder that takes on porcelain-like qualities as it dries.
Magiclay describes potato clay as an air drying clay made from potato powder. The supplier says the clay looks clear when it dries, taking on porcelain-like qualities. The pack is 210g. Magiclay states it is suitable for ages 3 years and over only. Magiclay files it under air drying clay, the same product type as its paper clays.
Because it air dries, finished pieces need no oven or kiln, which suits a classroom without firing equipment. The clear, porcelain-like look Magiclay describes gives small models and decorations their own distinct finish once they have dried. Students can shape small pieces and leave them to air dry in the room.
Shape small pieces first and let them dry fully before handling the finished work. Explore more air drying clays in craft modelling clay, add tools from craft ceramics, find papier mache materials in paper mache supplies, and browse educational craft supplies.
