Fresh Large Strips to Move or Rehang Command Products

Command Large Refill Strips 17023P are a 6 pack of large replacement strips, each holding up to 2.2kg, for moving a Command hook or hanger to a new spot without buying it again.

3M Australia lists the 17023P as 6 large strips holding up to 2.2kg, and says the refills can also be used with other Command hook designs. 3M's Command FAQ says its universal and canvas picture hangers may be reused with a Command refill strip, and those packs are printed with large strips, so this is the matching size.

Keeping a pack of refills means a hook or hanger can move when a desk, display or room changes. Each new strip removes cleanly later, per 3M, so leased offices and rentals avoid wall repairs. 3M says they hold on painted walls, finished wood, glass, tile, metal and other smooth surfaces.

For the hooks these fit see Command hooks, hangers that take large strips in the Command range, and other adhesive options in mounting tape and strips for other fixing jobs around the office.

FAQs

3M says the large refills can be used with Command hook designs that take a large strip. 3M's FAQ says universal and canvas hangers may be reused with a refill strip, and the 17044, 17047 and 17048 packs use large strips. The 17040, 17041 and 17043 packs also use large strips, though 3M's FAQ does not name them as reusable.
3M Australia's highlights and the pack say 1 strip holds 2.2kg. The specification table on the same page shows 4.4kg, which conflicts, so we quote 2.2kg per strip.
No. 3M's FAQ says picture hanging strips are one time use only. These refills are for hooks and hangers that use a single adhesive strip.
3M Australia lists painted walls, finished wood, glass, tile, metal and other smooth surfaces. 3M's Command FAQ says not to use it on wallpaper, which can tear, and that it will not stick to brick.
3M's Command FAQ says the one hour wait gives the adhesive time to build strong adhesion to the wall. Clean the wall with isopropyl alcohol first, as 3M notes household cleaners can leave a residue.
