A Black Ground for Dramatic Colour

Jo Sonja's Gesso Black is a 250ml jar of black gesso for priming a surface when you want your colours to sit on a dark ground.

Painting on black changes how a piece reads: brights look brighter and metallics stand out. This squat jar shows black gesso through its sides, with a navy Jo Sonja's band and Gesso Black on a cream panel. A partly hidden side heading reads Fine-Grit and Maximum, matching the newer gesso label, which prints Fine-Grit Finish with Maximum Tooth. The wide black screw lid opens fully for a brush or roller.

A black ground saves you from painting a dark base coat by hand on every piece. The 250ml jar is a manageable studio size for canvases, boards and craft blanks, and the open mouth makes it easy to load a wide brush straight from the jar.

Mega Office Supplies accepts change-of-mind returns for unopened and unused products within 14 days from the invoice date, provided the item is returned in its original packaging and in resalable condition.
