Cool Olive Brown for Muted Landscapes
Raw Umber is a cool olive brown that helps students paint muted bushland, weathered wood, soil and soft shadows without reaching for black.
Not every brown should look warm, and this tube offers the cooler, greener option in the Chromacryl earth range. In the product photo the swatch is a dark olive brown that shows a khaki tone where it is scraped thinly across canvas. The 75ml tube carries Raw Umber on a dark brown label band, plus the Chroma logo and the words medium bodied students' acrylic.
Students working on landscapes and still life often need a quieter brown, and a personal tube keeps it on hand for every session. It is light and easy to pack, and the label band names the colour clearly so it is not confused with Burnt Umber.
Pair it with other earth colours in acrylic paints, choose paint brushes for textured work, and pick up art and craft supplies for mixed media. Art paper and canvas completes the kit.
