Deep black for outlines, silhouettes and bold contrast

Chromacryl Black is a deep, inky black in a 1 litre bottle, suited to outlines, silhouettes and strong contrast work across a whole class.

Black tends to be the colour a school art room runs short of first, because nearly every project needs edges, lettering or shadow shapes. A single litre goes into palettes for a full class rather than relying on individual tubes. The label reads Chromacryl, Medium Bodied and Students Acrylic, with Est. 1965 printed in small type above the brand name.

Pouring from one large bottle keeps the black consistent from table to table, so a class mural or a run of silhouette prints all share the same depth. BLACK is printed in capitals on the silver band, which helps a busy teacher pick the right bottle from a shelf of similar dark shades.

Keep it beside the other acrylic paints in the range, add brushes sized for young painters and set up surfaces from classroom canvas boards or the art paper and canvas range before the next lesson begins.

FAQs

One 1 litre bottle of Chromacryl Black with a white cap. Brushes, palettes and other colours are sold separately.
The bottle is labelled Medium Bodied Students Acrylic. Chroma presents this black for student and classroom painting rather than as a fine art paint.
No pump comes with it. The photos show this black bottle with a plain white cap, so plan to pour it into palettes or pots.
On the painted swatch in the product image it reads as a solid, deep black, showing a slight charcoal sheen only where the brush strokes thin out.
