Napthol Red Light, a Bright Tomato Red

Napthol Red Light is a bright tomato red with a slight orange lean, handy for red fruit, signage-style lettering and lively florals.

Printed on a bright red band, the name NAPTHOL RED LIGHT sits above an open circle and Series 3, with Naptholhellrot, Rouge de Naphtol Claire and Rojo Claro de Naftol in smaller capitals. Chroma's Atelier block below reads Fine Artists' Paint and Est. 1965. The white body completes the label with Interactive Acrylic and Unlockable Formula.

Tomatoes, cherries and strawberries in still life, painted shop-sign lettering and cheerful garden flowers all suit a warm, clear red. The 80ml tube gives a solid supply for studio work and travels easily to classes, and its red band is simple to pick out.

Napthol Red Light is code AI19180, a Series 3 colour. For brushes, surfaces and more colours, see brushes for acrylic work, canvas and painting paper and other acrylic colours. Each sits in our art and painting section.

FAQs

One 80ml tube of Napthol Red Light, code AI19180, from the Chroma Atelier Interactive range. The painted red swatch in the photo is not included.
From our swatch photos, Napthol Red Light is a brighter, orange-leaning tomato red, while Napthol Crimson looks deeper and cooler. Both are Series 3.
It is part of Chroma's labelling system, but the explanation is not shown in our Napthol Red Light photos, so we do not state it.
Side text is just visible at the label edge, but it is too blurred in our photos to quote for this red.
