Rich Violet-Blue for Skies and Shadow
French Ultramarine is a deep, violet-leaning blue for broad skies, deep water, blue shadows on snow and landscape darks.
Swatched out, French Ultramarine appears as a deep, violet-leaning blue, rich in the thick patch and a brighter royal blue when thinned. A blue band carries French Ultramarine Blue plus Azul Ultramarino Francés, Französisch-Ultramarinblau and Bleu Français Outremer. Lower down, Atelier and Fine Artists' Paint frame the rich ultramarine blue, and Interactive Acrylic, Unlockable Formula completes the AI14900 label. Series 2 applies to French Ultramarine; a half-filled circle marks the rich ultramarine blue label.
This 80ml rich ultramarine blue tube is a handy studio size, and French Ultramarine also travels well. Typical subjects include skies, blue shadows on snow and deep water. Use the rich ultramarine blue on stretched canvas or canvas board for deep water.
For dark mixtures for landscape and more, explore art and craft supplies around the rich ultramarine blue, keep painting accessories handy for blue shadows on snow, pick acrylic mediums for rich ultramarine blue work and browse acrylic paints for partners to French Ultramarine.
