Vivid Scarlet Red for Bold Colour Fields

Chroma Atelier Interactive Cadmium Red Light (Scarlet) packs 250ml of a vivid scarlet into a studio jar for bold colour fields, poppies and graphic red shapes.

The front label prints Cadmium Red Light (Scarlet) beneath the Interactive logo and the Artists' Acrylic description, while the price list shortens it to Cad Red Light. The hero swatch photographs as a bright, warm scarlet, and the brush-out is a vivid fire-engine red softening to pink at the edges. Poppies, red cars, lips, lanterns and hard-edged abstract panels suit it.

Scarlet often fills large, flat shapes in contemporary painting, so the 250ml jar is a sensible size. Lift Cadmium Red Light (Scarlet) from the wide opening with a knife, keep the colour consistent across a big canvas, and close the black lid between sessions.

Hard-edged scarlet panels pair naturally with whites, blacks and deeper reds from our acrylic paints range. Masking and palettes sit in painting accessories, painting mediums are nearby, and AI21520 canvases come from art paper and canvas.

FAQs

One AI21520 jar holding 250ml of Cadmium Red Light (Scarlet). Brushes for this scarlet are sold separately.
The AI21520 hero swatch shows Cadmium Red Light (Scarlet) as a bright, warm scarlet. The brush-out photo is a vivid fire-engine red softening to pink at the edges. Only two images are available, so allow for screen variation.
This scarlet is printed as an Artists' Acrylic in the Interactive range. The side label of the AI21520 jar is not readable in our only jar photo, so we have not listed pigment or rating details.
The distributor lists Cadmium Red Light (Scarlet) in Series 4. That is one band above Napthol Red Light and Pyrrole Red, so expect AI21520 to cost more than those Series 3 reds.
