Phthalo Blue by the Jar for Big Paintings

Phthalo Blue in the 250ml jar gives you an intense, deep blue in a quantity built for ocean water, cool shadows and strong blue skies.

In the brushed swatch photo it starts as a saturated dark blue and thins to a vivid cyan-leaning blue. On the Phthalo Blue jar, the Atelier logo tops the label, and PTHALO BLUE sits below the words Interactive Artists' Acrylic. The 250ml size suits painters working large with Phthalo Blue, where small tubes of a saturated dark blue run out fast. The distributor lists Phthalo Blue as Series 1, under Chroma code AI12430.

A ribbed black screw-top lid closes the Phthalo Blue jar between sessions. Scooping a saturated dark blue from a jar beats squeezing tube after tube of Phthalo Blue. Painters working on abstract colour fields and wave studies get a steady supply of a saturated dark blue from one container.

Large paint brushes make light work of ocean water, cool shadows and strong blue skies. Add painting mediums to the order with this intense blue. Our painting accessories cover the palettes that hold Phthalo Blue. General painting supplies round out a studio built on Phthalo Blue.

FAQs

A single 250ml jar of Chroma Phthalo Blue. Our listing for XPAI12430 covers that jar alone, with no brush or palette.
Treat the swatch as a guide: it shows a saturated dark blue, and monitor settings shift colours. The Phthalo Blue jar, seen through its sides, is a second reference.
The jar label prints Pthalo Blue, while our title uses the spelling Phthalo Blue. Both refer to the same colour under code AI12430.
Series 1 jars like AI12430 cost less than Series 2 jars, and Phthalo Blue sits in Series 1.
The jar suits work where Phthalo Blue covers a lot of ground, such as ocean water, cool shadows and strong blue skies. Small tubes suit travel; a jar of a saturated dark blue suits the easel.
