Dioxazine Purple in Atelier Free Flow, 60ml
Dioxazine Purple is a dark, rich violet for twilight skies, deep floral shadows, grapes and moody abstract work.
No swatch image is supplied for this colour; through the bottle the paint looks a very dark purple, close to black-violet. This dark violet label shows Series 3 and a transparent mark. Dioxazine Purple belongs to Atelier Free Flow Artists' Acrylic. For this violet, pigment PV.23RS is printed. Dioxazine Purple rates ASTM 1 for lightfastness. The dioxazine shows British Woolscale 8:8:8. Dioxazinpurpur, Pourpre de Dioxazine and Púrpura de Dioxazina are printed on the dark violet bottle too.
A 60ml bottle of the dioxazine suits a studio or travel palette, where a dark violet like this is usually used in small amounts. Transparent on the label, the dioxazine is one for glazes over dry dark violet layers. Between sessions, its flip-top cap keeps the dark violet sealed.
Pair the dark violet with acrylic paints. Set the dioxazine out on palettes and painting accessories, paint twilight onto canvas and art paper, and finish the violet kit with painting supplies.
