Chroma Atelier Free Flow Phthalo Blue in 60ml
Phthalo Blue is a deep, cool blue for seascapes, night skies, shadowed water and intense colour accents.
The swatch card shows a near-navy blue at full strength that opens into a bright, slightly turquoise sky blue as it thins. The phthalo blue belongs to Atelier Free Flow Artists' Acrylic, Series 1. Phthalo Blue is marked transparent on its label. Pthaloblau, its German name, sits above pigment PB.15.3. Lightfastness for this intense blue: ASTM 1, Woolscale 8:8:8. Order code AT10750. Note the label spells it Pthalo Blue.
The 60ml Phthalo Blue bottle is a sensible size for a strong colour, since a little goes a long way in studio and travel painting. Transparent on the label, the phthalo blue works for glazes. This intense blue makes a low-cost trial size at 60ml. Phthalo Blue dispenses through a flip-top cap.
Phthalo Blue buyers can browse acrylic colours. The phthalo blue suits acrylic mediums, while this cool, deep blue pairs with art paper. Phthalo Blue setups also use palettes.
