General purpose alkyd medium for oil colour, in a 100ml bottle

Chroma Archival Oils Odourless Lean is a 100ml general purpose alkyd medium for oil painters who want their colour to flow more freely.

The blue band on the label names it Odourless Lean, and the grey panel below lists Painting Medium, Alkyd Based and Fast Drying. The label sums it up as a general purpose medium that increases flow and transparency. It comes in a small round glass bottle with a white screw cap, and the medium looks a clear reddish brown through the glass.

A general purpose medium is the one many oil painters reach for during early layers and blocking in, when colour needs to move across the canvas. The 100ml bottle is easy to carry to classes and plein air sessions, and it lets you try the medium before buying more.

Pair it with canvases or boards from art paper and canvas, hog and synthetic brushes from craft paint brushes, and the matching Odourless Fat in painting mediums for the glazing stages that come later in a painting.
