Alkyd glazing medium for oil painters, in a 100ml studio bottle

Chroma Archival Oils Odourless Fat is a 100ml alkyd painting medium that oil painters use for glazing and richer, heavier paint layers.

The label sorts it into three short terms: Painting Medium, Alkyd Based and Fast Drying. Below that it describes the contents as a fast drying, heavy oil painting and glazing medium which produces rich luminous glazes. This size is packed in a squat glass bottle with a white ribbed screw cap, and through the glass the medium shows as a clear red-brown liquid.

A small bottle suits painters trying a glazing medium for the first time, or anyone who keeps a compact kit for the easel and travel. Add it to oil colour on the palette for thin, glowing layers over a settled underpainting, then step up to the larger bottle once it becomes a regular part of your process.

Oil painters often stock up on brushes from craft paint brushes, canvases from art paper and canvas, and other oil mediums from painting mediums at the same time.
