Colour print, scan, copy and fax in a small footprint

The Brother MFC-L8730CDW is a colour laser multi-function centre that prints at up to 31ppm, scans both sides of a page in one pass through an 80-sheet ADF, and fits on a small desk.

Brother describes it as 28% smaller than the previous model while keeping the full MFC feature set. Paper comes from a 250-sheet tray and a 50-sheet multi purpose tray, with two optional LT-350CL trays taking capacity to 800 sheets. Print resolution is up to 600 x 600 dpi with 2,400 dpi class quality, duplex printing is automatic on A4, and the ADF scans two-sided at up to 56ipm.

It runs on TN645 toner in standard-yield and high-yield, with standard-yield cartridges in the box: up to 3,000 pages black and 1,800 pages per colour. Gigabit Ethernet, dual-band Wi-Fi, USB and a front USB host port cover connections, with NFC card authentication, AirPrint, Mopria and Brother Mobile Connect. An 8.8cm colour touchscreen handles control.

Replacement TN645 and TN645XL cartridges, the DR645CL drum, BU635CL belt and WT229CL waste toner box are in Brother Toner Cartridges. Other mono and colour models sit in Brother Laser Printers, and the rest of our printers and machines are in Office Equipment.

FAQs

Both use the TN645 toner family. The L8930CDW is also listed for TN645XXL super high-yield toner, which Brother does not list for the L8730CDW. If you do not need that yield, the L8730CDW is the compact choice.
Brother TN645 standard-yield, up to 3,000 pages black and 1,800 per colour, and TN645XL high-yield, up to 5,500 black and 4,500 per colour, all declared to ISO/IEC 19798. TN645XXL and TN647 are not listed for this model.
The DR645CL drum unit, rated about 30,000 pages at 1 page per job, the BU635CL belt unit at about 50,000 pages and the WT229CL waste toner box at about 50,000 pages. Brother lists all three for this model and describes the drum as end-user replaceable.
Brother's overview lists dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4 & 5 GHz); the specification table lists IEEE 802.11b/g/n. Gigabit Ethernet, USB and a front USB host port are also fitted.

Mega Office Supplies accepts change-of-mind returns for unopened and unused products within 14 days from the invoice date, provided the item is returned in its original packaging and in resalable condition.
