Brother lists this pack for four machines: the MFC-J5330DW, MFC-J5730DW, MFC-J6530DW and the MFC-J6730DW. The three cartridges inside are each listed for the MFC-J6930DW as well when bought individually, so owners of that machine can use these cartridges even though the pack is not on Brother's list for it.

Brother rates each of the three cartridges at up to 1,500 pages in accordance with ISO IEC 24711 and does not publish a combined figure. That is deliberate: almost nobody uses cyan, magenta and yellow at the same rate, so a single total would not describe any real print job.

Brother sells black separately for these machines: the LC3317BK at up to 550 pages or the LC3319XLBK at up to 3,000 pages. Machines usually get through black faster than colour, so buying it on its own cycle tends to waste less.

Both packs hold the same three colours and fit the same four machines. This one is rated at up to 1,500 pages per cartridge and the LC3317 version at up to 550. More pages per cartridge means fewer changes and usually a lower cost per page; fewer pages costs less per order.
