Avery gives the colour a purpose, not a meaning. Their words are that these are ideal for department segmentation, and that they come in red, blue, green and yellow. That is the whole of it - no legend, no department map, no priority order and no status. Our own copy across these four had invented one. Decide what each colour stands for in your own system and the scheme works; Avery is not telling you.
The side tab is reinforced. Avery's published purpose for it is colour code labels and file title labels, which is the tab you read when the file is standing on a shelf.
No fastener is fitted, and Avery publishes the option. They print it on the page for the same file in blue rather than this one: it can be paired with a Tubeclip or Permclip file fastener, bought separately. Nothing is clipped in the box.
A correction. Our own listing for this code claimed that red flags priority or restricted files, that it gives a stronger visual signal than a Mylar tab file and that the board holds its shape on an open shelf when fully loaded. Avery publishes none of it, so it has been removed.
Avery publishes no sheet count beyond the expansion figure and no load rating. Where they are silent, so are we.

Returns, Refunds & Replacements
Mega Office Supplies accepts change-of-mind returns for unopened and unused products within 14 days from the invoice date, provided the item is returned in its original packaging and in resalable condition. Original shipping costs are not refundable, return shipping is the customer’s responsibility, and a restocking fee may apply depending on the product type and supplier. Some items, including electronics, assembled or installed furniture, food, beverages, medicines, custom-made products, and certain bulk or special-order items, are not eligible for return unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
If your order arrives faulty, damaged, or incorrect, please contact Mega Office Supplies as soon as possible. Where required under Australian Consumer Law, a repair, replacement, or refund will be offered.
