Removable Tapes

Most damage blamed on tape comes from leaving it well past its clean-removal period. Within the window a low-tack grade lifts off paint, artwork and display board without a mark; beyond it the bond has set. Burnish only the edge that needs to hold rather than the whole strip, which makes removal worse. See masking tape, mounting strips and office tapes.
