Metallic Pencils

The effect comes from light bouncing off particles in the core, which means white paper gives almost nothing while black, navy and deep colour make them sing. That is the opposite of an ordinary coloured pencil and it catches people out. Layer lightly, since building up too heavily fills the tooth and dulls the shine.
