The Point 88 uses water-based ink formulated for use on standard paper. Under normal writing conditions and on typical 80gsm office or school paper, bleed-through is minimal. Very thin or absorbent paper may show more ink transfer.

Long cap-off time means the pen tip resists drying out for an extended period when the cap is left off - useful if you are frequently switching between pens during note-taking or sketching. Replacing the cap after use will always extend the pen's working life further.

The Stabilo Point 88 is not designed to be refilled. When the ink runs out, the pen is replaced. Given the pack price and the number of uses each pen delivers, replacement is straightforward and cost-effective.
