Cut-out lantern frames that glow when backed with cellophane
Zart Wooden Lantern Frames, supplier code FMZ309, are a pack of 24 plywood lantern frames in three designs from The Creative School Supply Company, with a 4mm hole and jute string for hanging.
The Creative School Supply Company describes three designs, eight of each, cut from 3mm thick plywood and approximately 8cm wide and 14 to 16cm high. The patterns are described as reminiscent of traditional ornamental styles. Each frame has a 4mm hole for threading the included jute string. The supplier suggests the frames for festive and cultural projects exploring light, colour and design.
The cut-out sections can be filled with coloured papers or translucent cellophane and tissue paper, which the supplier says gives a glowing, stained-glass effect when hung in the light. The solid frame takes Zart Street Paint Markers, paints and pencils, plus collage materials such as Plastic Deco Mosaic Tiles and Jewels.
The matching Zart window frames come in a 16cm square, and Zart assorted cellophane suits the cut-outs. For finishing materials, browse craft shapes and blanks, craft tissue papers, craft mosaic tiles and Zart.
