A Red Metal Ballpoint That Is Easy To Spot

Staedtler 444 M02-3 is the triplus premium retractable ballpoint in roaring red, a full metal pen built on the three-sided triplus barrel.

Red is the colour that stands out on a crowded desk or at the bottom of a work bag, and here it comes as a matt finish set against bright polished silver. The clip, push button and tip cone are polished silver, Staedtler's Mars head emblem is embossed on the button, and the STAEDTLER name wraps the upper ring.

A click of the button brings out the tip. Staedtler fit an interchangeable large capacity G2 refill in medium, and the ink is blue, not red: it is the barrel that carries the colour. Staedtler mark that ink as indelible to ISO 12757-2, so the pen sits comfortably on a reception counter for signing delivery dockets, contracts and forms.

It arrives in a hangable cardboard box, which Staedtler list at 180 x 47 x 15 mm. The triplus premium range picked up a Red Dot Design Award in 2021, as Staedtler note, and a matching red fountain pen, the 474 M02-3, makes a two-pen gift.

Mega Office Supplies accepts change-of-mind returns for unopened and unused products within 14 days from the invoice date, provided the item is returned in its original packaging and in resalable condition.
