The internal space measures 157 x 82 x 41mm, the external dimensions are 175 x 115 x 47mm, and the capacity is 0.527 litres. The foam takes up part of that depth, so measure the item you intend to carry against the internal figures rather than the external ones.

HDS supplies high density cubed pick and pluck foam, which holds its shape better under heavier items such as optics and precision instruments. The MAX001S uses standard cubed foam, the MAX001V ships empty for your own inlay, and the MAX001T is a transparent version with fixed compartments.

IP67 means the sealed case is dust tight and withstands temporary immersion in water. IP67 is the certification Panaro publishes for the MAX001 specifically. The larger cases in the MAX range carry additional certification to STANAG 4280, DEF STAN 81-41 and MIL-STD 810H, but those certificates cover those models rather than the MAX001.

The case has an automatic pressure release valve that equalises the pressure difference on ascent and descent, so the lid still opens on landing. The certificate Panaro publishes for the MAX001 is IP67. Confirm cabin, carry-on and air freight rules with your airline, as those are set by the carrier.

It closes with double throw latches and has holes for padlocks, so it can be sealed for transport or storage. There are also shoulder strap holes and a soft grip handle, and the shells stack. Panaro manufactures the MAX range in Italy.
