Hog hair flat brushes for small to medium canvases
Zart Wide Flat Brushes 25mm Pack of 12, supplier code BR402-12, are natural hog hair wide flat brushes from The Creative School Supply Company, packed as 12 brushes of one size.
The Creative School Supply Company describes these multipurpose brushes as thick, stiff natural hog hair with long, squared off filaments. They are listed for acrylic and oil paint and for applying primer, glue, gesso, varnish or layering grounds. The supplier says the 25mm size is ideal for small to medium size canvases and craft projects.
Each brush has a wide flat wooden handle, varnished and tapered for easy grip and control, and a flattened aluminium ferrule with crimps and studs for added strength and durability. The supplier recommends using the brush damp to reduce stroke marks.
A 50mm version of this brush is listed separately for larger areas. Pair it with gesso and canvas boards, and browse craft paint brushes, canvas boards, painting supplies and Zart.
