Crimson-leaning red for colour temperature lessons
Chromacryl Cool Red is a strong red with a slight crimson lean, the cooler of the two Chromacryl reds and a good fit for flowers, fruit and colour wheel lessons.
Many primary and secondary art programmes teach a split primary palette, where each primary comes in a warm and a cool version. Cool Red covers the cooler side of red in that approach. Its 1 litre bottle carries COOL RED in capitals on a silver band, under a black panel bearing the Chromacryl script.
Students painting roses, cherries or a red-and-pink still life get a red that leans towards crimson instead of orange. A one litre supply also suits a teacher who wants every table working from the same red, which keeps class colour wheel charts comparable when they are pinned up together.
Add Warm Red and the other primaries from our acrylic paints, collect palettes from painting accessories, and browse art and craft supplies for card, glue and display materials that finish off a red-themed project.
