The printer tells you, in two stages. It shows WT Box End Soon first, which is when to order one, then Replace WT Box when it is actually due. It tracks this part separately from the toner and the drum, so they rarely come due at the same time.

A colour laser has four wear parts. Alongside this one you will eventually need the DR-240CL drum, the TN-240 toner range, the BU-200CL belt unit and the WT-200CL waste toner box. Each is tracked separately by the machine.
