Nothing in a kit replaces the first step, which is cool running water for a sustained period, and a workplace near hot surfaces should be confident about where the nearest tap is. Gels and hydrogel dressings help afterwards, particularly where water is not available immediately, and they need to be sized to the area rather than layered up from small squares. Check the expiry.
