Derwent Inktense Block Spring Green Pack of 6

The Inktense Block contains the same ink-based pigment formula as Derwent Inktense pencils but in a larger, chunky block form. This makes it much faster to cover broad areas and ideal when working at scale. The colour behaviour - vivid when activated with water and permanent when dry - is the same as the pencil range.

Yes. The Inktense Block works on silk and cotton as well as paper. Once activated with water and allowed to dry, the colour sets permanently on fabric, making it a practical tool for textile artists and mixed-media projects.

You can use the Inktense Block dry for a smooth, coloured finish without activation. Adding water transforms the pigment into a rich, ink-like wash with increased vibrancy and saturation. Both approaches are valid depending on the effect you want to achieve.

Yes. Once the Inktense colour has dried, it becomes permanent and will not reactivate or lift when you apply additional layers of water, paint, or other media over the top. This makes it well suited to complex, layered artwork.
