The firm hog bristle carries a good load of paint and leaves visible directional strokes, which many teachers use to show movement in skies and water. The product image shows the timber handle printed 579 F.

Painting broad areas with a bigger head avoids the patchy, streaky look that comes from using a small brush for backgrounds. The straight bristle edge still cuts in neatly against a horizon or around a subject, keeping the edges of each shape tidy.

Find matching flats for detail among our craft brushes, prepare paper and board supports from art paper and canvas, and choose sky blues, greens and earth tones from the acrylic paint range for landscape lessons.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0963/2795/8891/files/X_Press_It_Hog_Hair_Flat_Brush_Size_8_5798_1_Mega_Office_Supplies.png?v=1791535799
