It shows young readers how to answer the five types of comprehension questions they are likely to meet through primary school: fact-finding, synthesis, inferring, language and judgement questions. A unit on reading strategies covers skimming, visualising, connecting, predicting, inferring, monitoring, judging and scanning.

Regular practice helps children become more competent, reflective and critical readers in English and in other subjects. Answers sit in their own section at the back and a marking grid, so a parent or teacher can check each page quickly and talk through any question a child found tricky.

Teachers building a reading program can browse more educational books and teacher supplies, while families can add writing supplies and book coverings so the workbook lasts through the school year.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0963/2795/8891/files/PascalPress_ExcelAdvancedSkillsReadingAndComprehensi_9781741255690_1_Mega_Office_Supplies.jpg?v=1792651830
https://megaofficesupplies.com.au/products/excel-advanced-skills-reading-and-comprehension-workbook-year-2-ages-7-8
