Series 1 and ASTM 1 appear on the Smoked Pearl label, which lists pigment PW.6:PY.42:PBr.7 under the Artists' Colours title. Smoked Pearl at 250ml goes round further for painting groups.

Pale neutrals make gentle basecoats under florals and lettering, and the 250ml bottle covers several trays or boxes before needing a refill. It also gives a quiet, vintage tone to signs and frames and suits soft, aged looking highlights on darker colours.

Smoked Pearl basecoats lay smoothly with a wide flat or foam brush from craft paint brushes, then take florals from acrylic paints.
