A jar this size suits a small group table, where four or five students dip palette knives in turn to build ridges, swirls and relief on boards before painting them in colour.

Because the paste can be tinted with Chromacryl Students' Acrylic, a group can work in a coloured ground from the start, or leave it white and paint over the dried relief later. The label also recommends it in collage for holding heavier items to the surface.

Scrape spare paste back into the jar and close it tightly so it stays soft.
