Oddly, the paint seen through the jar looks very pale, nearly off-white, so the photo is not a perfect match and the brushout should be the guide. The label reads Neutral Grey beneath Medium Bodied and Students Acrylic, with 250mL on the band.

A premade grey helps students learn tone without wrestling black and white into an even value. It is useful for stone walls, clouds, metal objects and background washes, and one jar on the table lets a small group keep their greys consistent across a piece.

For tonal units, combine it with Black and White in the Chromacryl range, canvas boards and educational supplies for recording value scales.
