Its side panel describes a thick acrylic gel for exaggerating structure and increasing gloss levels, and lists uses: mix with paint to increase body or apply directly on top of a paint layer for a transparent textural effect, and use it to extend and bulk up paint for impasto effects.

The same panel says the thick consistency holds sharp peaks and that the milky colour becomes transparent when dry. It also calls the gel a very effective glue for collage. Buying by the pail suits class programmes and large textured pieces where small jars run out fast.

Smaller 250ml and 500ml jars of this gel are part of our painting mediums collection.
