They look and feel like gelatin but are made of a durable, flexible polymer that is reusable, easy to clean and stored at room temperature. Choose the plate by the print you want: the 30 x 37cm rectangle gives the larger print area, and the 20cm round plate gives circular prints. Each plate is sold singly and comes with a pamphlet of the manufacturer's recommendations for storage and cleaning, so keep it with the plate. Gel Press says the round shape is meant for adding circular prints to larger projects, for tying elements together on a page and for overlapping designs and colours in art journals, scrapbooks and mixed media work.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAccording to Gel Press, the plate can be used over and over without losing its shape, and it can be wiped back with baby wipes, mild soap and water, or hand sanitiser. The earlier pack is printed with a container included for easy storage, and Gel Press advises keeping the plate flat in that clamshell.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eGel Press sells its plates individually, without tools, so brayers and printing paper are chosen separately.
